Artist of the year 2010 ♥ Дизайнер на годината 2010

Each year, French designer trade show "Maison et Objects" awards to someone "Artist of the year 2010". This year the honor went to the Spanish designer Jaime Hayon of Hayon Studio.

Artquitect

Unusual shapes and colors for bathroom. Very stylish and interesting, Hayon said: "I didn't want to approach AQ as a bathroom collection. Everything is so white, so clinical. And it's a room hidden from everyone. Why not treat it as furniture? And make a piece that can be used in any room of the house? So I introduced more explosive colors and unusual shapes that were both modern and classic ... "

The Restaurant La Terraza del Casino (Madrid, Spain) is an interior project by Jaime Hayon that explores the balance of an aesthetic link between past and future using his very personal style that connects harmoniously with the imaginative and innovative kitchen.

The Tournament

This installation consists of a gigantic chess set, with 2m ceramic chess pieces on a specially created Bisazza mosaic glass chess board. Elements of the city of London and it's history have been encoded on the pieces using Hayon's very personal style.

Octium Jewelry

Octium, a new concept jewelry shop, opened its doors in October 2009 in Kuwait.

Faberge Salon

The concept and the design focuses on superlative craftsmanship, sensually minimal shapes and forms, and exquisite materials, including silk wall drapes, rare woods and Carrara marble.
